Life at CJ

CJ is not just a place to stay – it’s a way of living! From enjoying a common dinner at your floor to never being alone in the study room or hitting one of our Friday bars you are sharing the CJ experience with the rest of the fellows. On this page you can read about a year of activities at CJ and you can get to know the various committees that the fellows are working in to make sure that stuff is happening throughout the year. Further you can read about the facilities at CJ.

A Year at CJ

The year starts at CJ – jumping into a new year starts at our New Year party, where all friends are invited. Then things get quiet for a while – January is often reserved for exams.

February is the start of a new semester and is also the start of new things at CJ. We have our biannual Fellows' Day - a chance to meet new fellows and assemble in committees to work on life at CJ in the coming months.

Then the weeks start to fly: Social Committee plans a friday bar, Academic Committee does a quiz night. March is gone before you know it!

April is full of expectations: weeks of preparations lead to our annual party. Dress up, find your flask and enjoy an evening of celebrations.

And the work goes on: Internal Affairs buy a grill so the fellows of CJ can chill outside in the evenings of May.

June is kicked off with a party: Distortion fills the streets of Nørrebro - we’re there dancing along before heading back to the study room.

Summer comes and some graduate - hurray! As they move, Nomination Committee is busy in July finding the next alumni.

In August new faces arrive while summer in Copenhagen is at its peak - we enjoy our lovely park or head to the beach.

September brings a new start: a new semester, another Fellows' Day, new activities: Board game nights and cleaning days.

It’s time for a Tour de Chambre! Prepare your theme and invite your floormates in while it’s getting darker in October.

November in Denmark is wet and cold, but we brighten it up by celebrating CJ’s birthday - right now the dorm is 9 years old.

In December the year comes to an end with Christmas lunches and Secret Santa as we get ready for all the year’s activities again.
